GenUnity Member Stories Episode 6: Angela Williams-Mitchell

We’re back with a great conversation hosted by GenUnity Program Manager Whitney Sanchez, who is joined by community member Angela Williams-Mitchell. Angela is a Community Engagement Architect and social justice advocate whose work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: lasting change must be built with communities, not merely delivered to them.
A retired Boston Police Officer and lifelong public servant, Angela brings lived experience, institutional knowledge, and a deep understanding of the distance that can exist between government systems and the people they’re intended to serve. Through her work, she helps close that gap by supporting residents in navigating complex public processes, organizing around shared concerns, and turning community knowledge into collective action and public accountability.
