GenUnity Member Stories Episode 3: Leah Boutelle
Leah is non-traditional in every sense of the word and is only now beginning to truly own and learn to tell her story. She left school at sixteen, performed in a circus sideshow, painted murals on the streets of New York City and San Francisco, traveled the country while homeless, engaged in activism, motherhood, academia, town government, music, youth development, elder care, and national service and now she’s heading to Harvard.
For Leah, the through line has always been that there is no single answer to “what do I want to be when I grow up.” Growing is an ongoing process, and every experience continues to shape her direction and sense of self.
